New Trial Ordered Because of Court's Confusing Charge

Overturning a conviction for second-degree rape and other counts, the Appellate Division ordered a new trial because the court's charge to the jury was confusing. Instead of explaining each charged count individually, the court bundled numerous counts together, failing to explain how the counts were distinguished from each other.
