Client's Sentence Reduced by Half
Appellate Advocates client Leah Etheridge was initially sentenced to probation after being convicted of grand larceny in the second degree. After she violated a condition of her probation, the court revoked her probation and sentenced her to an indeterminate term of 4 to 12 years. On appeal, the Second Department held that this sentence was excessive and reduced it to an intederminate term of 2 to 6 years.
Lynn W. L. Fahey briefed the case, and Erica Horwitz argued it.
