Legal Interns

Appellate Advocates has a summer internship program for law students who have completed their first or second year. Law students who have a strong interest in criminal defense work are encouraged to apply. Interns assist in drafting legal documents in various areas, including Sex Offender Registration Act cases, post-release supervision proceedings, drug law re-sentencing proceedings, and direct appeals. Applicants should be committed, motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
 
Students from law schools nationwide have served as interns in our office, including New York University School of Law, University of Virginia School of Law, Brooklyn Law School, University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Emory Law School, Georgetown University Law Center, CUNY Law School, Columbia Law School, New York Law School, and the University of Chicago Law School.
 
Applications for the summer are due in early January. Appellate Advocates is no longer accepting applications for internships for Summer 2017.
